  • Developed an enterprise wide migration plan for the Associates' Commercial line of business. This plan serves as the road map for all future systems development within this division.
  • Created a business model, current systems inventory and business precedence document for senior management to approve and authorize funding.
  • Developed a conceptual data and process model to be used to identify business requirements and identify existing "functional gaps" in legacy systems.
  • Created the migration plan and presentation for senior management to understand business, hardware, software and funding requirements.

Information Architect / Product Developer / Consultant

  • Designed and implemented a Clinical Data Warehouse to identify, capture and manage Patient demographic information for use by multi-hospital organizations. In order to support various customer-marketing strategies, this product was implemented in Oracle, Sybase and MS/Access environments.
  • Identified business requirements, data and functional definitions for identifying medical, financial and historical information about a patient that became a software product to market.
  • Designed the application to leverage existing credit information from TRW to support and target new market segments that hospitals are trying to penetrate.
  • Presented technical sales presentations and provided sales support for potential clients (CEO, CIO, Project Managers, DBA's and developers) resulting in additional sales worth $200,000.
Ameritech Health Connections 1993 - 1995

Data Architect / Product Analyst / Consultant

  • Worked with Product Management, R&D, Customers and Industry Consultants to develop a Clinical Data Warehouse using IEM/IEF and Sybase's S-Designor CASE tools. This was implemented in a UNIX, SYBASE environment.
  • Interviewed 11 different management and user groups to collect, evaluate and perform a feasibility study for the Client/Server Knowledge Keystone Product.
  • Using IEM Data Modeling and analysis techniques, developed a logical Clinical Data Warehouse consisting of 211 logical entity types. Designed and implemented a 107 table Data Warehouse in a UNIX SYBASE environment.
  • Developed a Hospital Clinical Communications Operational Data Store consisting of 207 logical entity types that interfaces with the existing Clinical Data Warehouse and OLTP.
Fidelity Investments Systems Company 1992 - 1993

Technical Analyst / Consultant

  • Developed and implemented a 56 table DB2 based Fixed Assets Application.
  • Used High Productivity Systems (HPS) CASE methodology to perform a feasibility analysis, and as the Facilitator of a JAD session developed a High Level Functional Decomposition and process modeling for the project.
  • Developed infrastructure for Systems Group to use in the tracking of Fixed Assets.· Created 65 programs and batch load schedule to extract inventory information from various computer platforms (Excel, VM, SAS, and TSO).

IEF BSD Technical Analyst 1991 - 1992

· Participated in the development of a General Ledger Business System Design through Construction using the IEF CASE Tool within the OS/2 environment.

· Developed four BSD Dialog Flows equating to 24 screens and programs from the Activity Hierarchy, including Screen Design, and writing Procedure Action Diagrams (RADs), code generation and unit testing.

· Uploaded, packaged, compiled and completed system and acceptance testing on the mainframe Central Encyclopedia, with client acceptance and sign-off.

IEF Model Administer 1990 -1992

· Responsible for the management and integrity of the General Ledger and Accounts Receivable Central Encyclopedia (CE) models.

· Scheduled, coordinated and executed eight separate model migrations between the PC platform and the CE thus monitoring the integrity of both data and activities.

· Provided CE Subsetting for 14 analysts across multiple projects.

IEF BAA Technical Analyst 1988 - 1990

· Participated in the development of a Controller's General Ledger and Account Receivable Business Area Analysis (BAA) through confirmation.

· Performed Data and Activity Analysis of a General Ledger Business Area to develop an Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD) with 92 entity types.

· Created and modified 180 Functions and Processes in the Model's Activity Hierarchy. Created 110 Process Action Diagrams (PADs) for the Accounts Receivable model in one month.

Project Leader 1988 - 1990

· Responsible for developing an IMS/DB2 based system that captures current systems information to be used during the Business Area Analysis confirmation phase.

· Constructed, tested, and implemented a 26 table system within eight weeks, on time and under budget.

· Identified general and detailed design specifications, project scheduling, and task assignments for 4 analysts, to meet aggressive delivery dates. Developed and conducted user training for 60 analysts.

Frito-Lay, Inc. 1984 - 1988

· Developed 25 interactive D2 processes for volume line items, expense costs, manufacturing requirements and marketing trade promotion calendars, thus able to forecast and track various scenarios under dynamic business conditions and client requirements.

· Developed MIS department standards for Data Modeling, analysis and design that are used by all project teams developing or enhancing applications.

· Responsible for a Cost Accounting Manufacturing system in which 67 short term enhancements were implemented using IMS DB/DC. Primary interface with 8 clients, on call for troubleshooting system abends and system recovery to ensure accurate and timely information.

Texas Instruments, Inc. 1980 - 1984

· Responsible for the daily support efforts of a manufacturing application that described in detail the process of building various products for government contracts using IMS DB/DC skills.
